Isn't it?
And what causes gravity and will gravity exist in vacuum and in space too....?!
We can discuss in detail....read till the end...
For the second part of the question,
Gravity is a universal force and you can never be isolated from it. It always affects you where
you are.
You may be thinking that gravity doesn't affect the people in space. But it does affect the people
and the object in the space.
Okay...!
According to Newton's law, gravitation depends upon the distance between the two masses in space.
If the distance increases, force decreases. As the distance between any planet and star is very large in space, we may feel a very small amount of gravitational pull.
So there is no such thing like zero gravity. Because the gravitational force is inversely proportional to the distance between the masses.
As the space is filled with objects (planets, stars, etc.,), the distance between two masses will
never be infinity and the gravity will never be zero....!!!!
You can ask, what about the gravity at the center of earth or center of any mass...?
Yes...there you will feel like you are weightless...it is because all of the forces on you that results from earth's gravity are balanced.
There is the same amount of mass in every direction. So you would be pulled equally in each direction and the net force on your body would be zero. This doesn't mean that there is no gravity at the earth's center, there is a lot of gravity there...!

Clear....??
Okay..! then an additional information, as we know, our earth‘s moon is not having an atmosphere. Because its gravitational field is too weak to have and retain one..
Super dear
ReplyDeletethis is the good one Mr.Nagappan
ReplyDeleteGood information Mr.nagapan but I have doubt , u said that force is inversially prop.to distance and masses .due to long distance gravt.force is very low .I accept that one .BT u will be see at night time rarely .some asteroid fall down with high speed towards the earth ..Although that asteroid is already far away from earth distance .it should be low grav.force .BT why that astriod falls towards the earth very fastly ..wht the reason behind them....
ReplyDeleteIf any body who have idea abt this question plz u must share ...
ReplyDeleteSorry for the delayed response Rupesh...actually as far as I referred the asteroids are not hitting the earth only in night but also in day time too...one such incident happened in Cheryabinsk, a Russian city... it's all due to the same thing called newton's law of gravity....as it says the larger mass absorbs the smaller mass due to its magnitude is strong enough to do so..here the asteroids are smaller mass compared to our earth and thus it gets absorbed....you can ask if then moon is smaller than earth and why it is not being absorbed...??? moon's mass is strong enough hold it at its place and the hitting of asteroids is most common in every other planets too not only earth....also we should remember that it was asteroids which wiped out dinosaurs...!
ReplyDeleteThanks nagapan for ur meaningfull answers.towards the asteroid magnitude ....BT still I have some doubt's regarding magnitude and large body absorbed to small one .in which sense u r telling ..can u help me to find out ..
DeleteIn the same way as if you throw a ball into the sky and it returns backs to you dear.....the gravity pulls the lesser mass towards it...
ReplyDeleteYes nagapan lastly I understood behind this mystery abt gravitionl force ..thanks ur effort to spread the information between us.
ReplyDeleteIt is a learning platform...feel free to comment your queries dear.... :)
